What is instantecom and how does it work?
Instantecom is a complete eCommerce platform that lets you start an online business without developer delays and the upfront cost of an eCommerce website.
With instantecom you can:
- Create and customize your online store
- Sell physical products, digital products and services.
- Link it to your Facebook Shop, Amazon, eBay, Google and Bing merchant accounts.
- Sell your products from any Blog, website, Instagram, Twitter or other social media accounts, turning them into a powerful eCommerce store at no extra cost.
- Manage products, inventory, payments, stock control and shipping.
Instantecom is a completely hosted solution which means you don’t have to worry about upgrading or maintaining software or web servers. This means you can run your business from anywhere with an internet connection.
*Please note that selling products on your social media account is location-dependent, and controlled by the platform companies and not by instantecom. This feature is therefore not available in all locations, please check with the social media platform you would like to use first.
What features are included with instantecom?

Does instantecom include email accounts?
Yes, dependent on the package chosen, instantecom comes with up to 3 domain name email accounts.
How much does instantecom cost?
Nothing! We know how hard it is to get a new business started, so we're giving you the opportunity to get selling online at no cost to you whatsoever! Our Starter Package allows you to sell up to 10 products completely free (apart from whatever card processing fees your chosen payment gateway provider charges).
Can I use my own domain name with instantecom?
Yes, you can use your own domain name with instantecom. But, if you don't have one, or don't wish to purchase one, you can use the free sub-domain that's included with your instantecom package.
If you have an existing domain name, you can connect it to instantecom from your store’s admin.
If you don’t have a domain name yet, you can either buy one through instantecom or a third-party provider.
Do I need a designer or developer to use instantecom?
No, not at all. instantecom has been created so anyone without any code knowledge can set up their online store easily in a matter of minutes.
Customize the look and feel of your store to match your brand, upload your logo if you have one, and if you wish, you can do so much more with the advanced theme editor.
Plus, we will soon be adding store themes for you to choose from too.
What do I need to start selling on instantecom?
To start selling on instantecom, you’ll need products or services to sell along with images and product descriptions.
Get started right away by signing up to set up your store and add products, it’s as simple as that!
How do I receive payments?
A third-party payment processor known as a payment gateway lets you accept online payments and this is already built into your store. We have negotiated with a number of providers, so you get the best deals! You can apply to open a payment gateway account in your store's admin section. Plus, one of our unique features is that you can offer Cash On Delivery, or Cash On Collection if you don't want to take online payments.
What currencies does instantecom work with?
You can sell and accept payments in many currencies, depending on what payment provider you use.
What is a merchant account?
A merchant account is an account where your money is deposited after your customers’ payments have been authorised and processed.
Can I offer multiple shipping options?
Yes, you can set shipping by weight or per item and add restrictions to the areas you want to ship to.
Click and collect and delivery can also be configured.
Can Charities use instantecom?
Yes, and Charities can make Gift Aid sales and accept Gift Aid donations. The shopping cart can be preconfigured to sell products and accept donations that qualify for Gift Aid tax benefits. The sales reports also create a CSV of all Gift Aid claims ready to submit directly to HMRC. *Please note, Gift Aid is unique to UK Charities.
